I’m as much for an “international celebration of silliness” as any other commuter, but why on earth has the annual No Pants Subway Ride not been moved to the summer?

I understand that probably adds to the silliness. It also likely inhibits participation. There is no way you are getting me to go anywhere pantless in January unless it is much further south and involves umbrella drinks and a pool.

Don’t you think these people would look equally silly in the swimsuits on the subway in the summer? They could even don their winter coats for an added touch of summer silliness, if they so desire.

In fact, perhaps we should initiate “Swimsuits on the Subway” for July. Who’s with me?
